As the founder of Learning Lodge Academy, I am humbled that I have the continued opportunity to live my dream! It is with pleasure that I serve as Principal everyday. I founded Learning Lodge Academy in an effort to create a space where professionals could work autonomously to do whatever it takes to achieve greatness in exchange for accountability. I am grateful for our successes, our ongoing growth, and our collective mindset of continuous improvement and reflection.

 

I have been privileged to work in the field of education for 16 years. Making positive contributions for the betterment of our society is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. Nelson Mandela once said that, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” and those words are near and dear to my heart. Furthermore, I am honored to be surrounded by professionals who share my values, work collaboratively, and create the best experiences for our students. Their shared commitment to our mission and vision have yielded results that don't materialize by accident. In fact, our success is the result of hard work, dedication, and collegiality in conjunction with parent, student, and community support, including our amazing PTO board and PTO members. 

 

As the principal, I enthusiastically embrace a variety of responsibilities on a daily basis to ensure the best instructional, extracurricular, and supports possible. Additionally, I perform ongoing operational leadership skills and the managerial aspects of the business of charter education to ensure it's efficient, fiscally responsible, and effective. On any given day, I could be planning with teachers, recruiting and developing teacher talent, managing financial transactions and employee benefits, ensuring adherence to school policies and procedures, and promoting a positive atmosphere, culture, and climate. No two days are ever the same and I face each one with optimism and sense of purpose.
